Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Allison and Chris said “I do” in the small chapel at the First Presbyterian Church. Immediately after the ceremony, guests headed to Travellers Rest where they were invited to tour the historic mansion before dinner and dancing in the barn. Allison and Chris chose Travellers Rest as their reception venue because it held some meaning to Allison’s family, and it is a great location for a winter wedding, including plenty of locations for wonderful photo opportunities around the property. Although it was chilly outside, inside the barn was warm with a crackling fireplace and lots of laughter and love. Family and friends spent the evening enjoying each other’s company, either gathered around tables or on the dance floor moving to the music of the thoroughly entertaining Scat Springs Band.
