Amy + Ben – Cannery One

Amy and Ben are a shining example of the best ways to incorporate do-it-yourself into a wedding while still getting to relax and enjoy the day with family and friends. This couple knew exactly what they wanted when it came to décor for their special day, and brought most of it to the table. Being self-proclaimed nerds, they wanted to show off their personality and incorporate their love for books and graphic novels into their wedding day. It was wonderful to be part of such a unique and enjoyable day with these two and their families.

Amy and Ben provided the décor items that were unique to them from graphic novels (all featuring a love story), hearts cut out from their favorite books and comic books, a card catalog guest book, and their Lego Green Lantern and Harley Quinn cake topper! The Details by Margaret team used these items, along with simple wildflower and herb inspired floral design and some books to create a truly one of a kind event for them. The smell of fresh herbs along with the soft greens and whites truly transformed the Cannery One space.

After a sweet ceremony that included their family in a knot tying ceremony, it was time to throw a Nashville party for their family and friends from out of town. In addition to enjoying great food and dancing throughout the night, guests got to create their own super hero shots in the photo booth to take home with them. The icing on the cake was the chance to take photos with the Nashville Fourth of July fireworks in the background at the end of the evening. The perfect ending to a great celebration of two wonderful people!
