June 5, 2014
A long holiday weekend is a great time to spend time with family and friends. This is just what Mallory and Henry wanted to do during Memorial Day Weekend 2014. Friends and family gathered from near and far for an intimate, simple, and fun-filled wedding weekend. The ceremony was held at St. Augustine Chapel on Vanderbilt’s Campus. The chapel is so gorgeous on its own, only a couple of arrangements and a wreath (with a GoPro camera hidden within) were needed to complete the look Mallory and Henry wanted. After a short, but very sweet and personal ceremony conducted by a friend of the family, it was time for a laid-back reception at Corsair Artisan Distillery in Marathon Village, just 2 miles from the chapel. The venue showcased Henry and Mallory’s love for the simple, as well as their mutual enjoyment of a great craft beer or hand-crafted cocktail. Corsair even allowed Henry and Mallory to bring in and serve three different varieties of beer they had brewed themselves! Simple flower arrangements, good food, friends, and family were all they needed to make their day perfect. The guests dined on delicious bbq then snacked on mini cupcakes and sipped craft beer and cocktails all evening while listening and dancing to a rocking band. The night ended with an after party for family and close friends at the wedding party’s hotel. All in all their day was exactly what Mallory and Henry wanted: sweet, simple, and fun!
