Meet the NEW Aisle Runner!

June 29, 2010

As more of you local brides want Details by Margaret to help coordinate your special day, we needed to add a new member to our “dream team.” Welcome Kelly Jennette!

Kelly found us on Facebook and shared her love for event planning. I met with Kelly at the Starbucks in Green Hills. Right away, I knew she was “the one!” Seriously, she loves event planning just about as much as Jeanie and I do. Her enthusiasm just beamed right out of her smile! Kelly wanted more stress creativity in her life. She has worked other weddings and loves kids’ parties as well. She is great with DIY projects and has some goodies to share with us. Also, just learned that she is a licensed wedding officiant! How cool?! We are so excited to have Kelly on our team!

Last weekend Kelly helped out with the Shelton/McAllister Wedding at the Governor’s Club (pics and post to come soon!) She was always a step ahead of me making sure the event went like clock work…

Text from Kelly the day after the wedding: “The pain has now moved to my shoulders. But it feels good !”

See? She will do whatever it takes to make the day special if it means pain the next day! Now it is time for you to get to know Kelly. I asked her a few questions and I thought I would share.

“Inside of the Mind of Kelly Jennette-

Event Planner Extraordinaire!”

What is your favorite part of a wedding? The end result…the reception, I guess. Seeing everyone, including the bride & groom, enjoying the party after months of planning!

Favorite TV Show? Say Yes to the Dress & Friday Night Lights.

Favorite Colors? I love the classics, black & white and recently shades of blue.

Fun Fact: I love yard sales, Thrift Stores, Goodwill, & consignments. I love the fact that you never know what you are going to find and I am constantly looking for new pieces for my house. I’m into anything Shabby Chic. (She is a “budget girl!”)

List three words that describe you? Enthusiastic, Outgoing, Positive

What made you want to get involved with event planning? I’ve always been obsessed with hosting parties & weddings, just ask my family!

Share your favorite event planning story? My first wedding with Details by Margaret of course!

Do you have any secret tips making an event perfect? Stay Calm. No one benefits from being stressed out.

Grooms cake or Bridal Cake? Both please ! Just kidding. The Bride’s cakes are always so beautiful & elegant but the Groom’s’ cake is where people get creative. Also, Chocolate is most often involved and that’s always a good thing.

Who is your event planning idol? David Tutera from My Fair Wedding

Gotta run and get new business cards for Kelly! Stay tuned for the Shelton/ McAllister Wedding pics and details.
