Metal & Lace

October 12, 2010

Last year I got a phone call from a good friend, actually my old college roommate, saying her baby sister was getting married. Of course, I was ecstatic! She said Elizabeth was interested in talking to me about planning her wedding. I, of course, agreed and got the first meeting set up pronto!

Over a year later, Elizabeth and Michael are happily married. During the planning process, we had a few last minute changes with venues but it all worked beautifully in the end. Margaret made the bouquet, her first cascading bouquet… with the help of Geny’s Wholesale Flowers. Military tradition to have the couple walk through the Sabre Arch. The bridal party rode to the reception in an open-air trolley by FADDS. Houston Station decorated for the reception. Paper lanterns outlined the dance floor area. Michael and Elizabeth wanted a fun activity for their guests. So they hired Snydmania to bring a photo booth out to the reception. Lots of fun!!!

(All of the photos above are from Dara Harris Photography. She is great and likes to help budget brides like Details by Margaret.)
